Awaken from your nightmare

Everything was a Nightmare is a free indie horror title created using Unreal Engine. Short yet terrifying, the game throws players into a nightmare they must escape from in one piece. Players must also remember that it has no auto or manual save system.

Frighteningly immersive

For better immersion, Everything was a Nightmare is best played with headphones in a dark place. In this title, the player navigates dark, narrow corridors in an attempt to wake up from their terrifying nightmare—and this will not be an easy task.

On top of collecting items and solving puzzles, the player must also avoid getting killed by a monster. As mentioned, you can’t save your progress. Hence, you’ll have to start from the beginning every time you die or quit the game.

Feel the nightmare

Overall, the goal of Everything was a Nightmare is to wake up from your own nightmare. However—given the title’s lack of an auto or manual save feature—dying or quitting is a no-go if you don’t want to go back to square one.
